That's small.  I have:

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  lemis   5646507 Jan 27 14:52

As you see, this is in the kernel build directory.  There's no point
in actually installing it into /boot.  Also note:

 $ du -s /src/FreeBSD/5-RELEASE-SYDNEY/src/sys/i386/compile/SYDNEY
 513     /src/FreeBSD/5-RELEASE-SYDNEY/src/sys/i386/compile/SYDNEY

That's in MB.  It does take up a lot of space.
