I would like to know if can i use 8 GB of Ram in Freebsd 6.1
using FreeBSD/amd64 - yes. use 6.3 not 6.1
and if have raid drivers for the new dell 2950
no idea what raid hardware is there.if you don't need RAID5 using non-raid hardware with gmirror/gstripe is much better.
