Alpha support has been dropped in 7.x. Officially, the ports tree should still 
support it (or add BROKEN_FOR_ARCH if it can't/won't be fixed). The best way 
to handle your case, is to use send-pr(1) for the port in question, so that 
the maintainer is aware and then it's up to him/her how to handle it.
