I would use System Rescue boot disk from www.sysresccd.org
It has gparted which I would use to delete all partitions and create new.
Thats considering you have a functioning pc to access the net and burn an iso with.

Hi all,

When dd is used like:

dd if="/dev/0" of="/dev/da1" bs="1024"

Does it completely wipe the drive INCLUDING the boot sectors etc? (i.e. does it start right at secor 0 of the disk and continue to the last sector?).
