Michael, Thanks for your answer. I don't have a -march=pentiumpro in my make.conf (or maybe it's the cpu=i686?) Anyway, removed that. I did a search for zlib.h on my machine, and found actually another (older) one, in /usr/local/include. After removing that, I got a bit further, but now it stops with: ./.libs/libgio-2.0.so: undefined reference to `deflateSetHeader' ./.libs/libgio-2.0.so: undefined reference to `inflateGetHeader' gmake[4]: *** [gio-querymodules] Error 1 gmake[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/devel/glib20/work/glib-2.26.1/gio' gmake[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/devel/glib20/work/glib-2.26.1/gio' gmake[2]: *** [all] Error 2 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/devel/glib20/work/glib-2.26.1/gio' gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/ports/devel/glib20/work/glib-2.26.1' gmake: *** [all] Error 2 *** Error code 1 Looks like there's some junk on my machine.
