Yes, but DBus is a generic IPC system. It is just slightly related to automounting and hotpluging. I mean, DBus is an easy way for communicating processes that provides, among other things, activation of well-known services. That's it's goal. On the other side, I think HAL is not necessary at all since devd is enough to do that. Cheers > > -- > 27.
