Yes, that's what it's intended to do.  It blanks out the screen, and you
have to enter your password to unlock the screen.  It's a very simple
screen locking program for X -- no more, and no less.

ive found xscreensaver more usefull. but how can i get in to work every time Xorg starts? should i add an entry to .xinitrc?
what should be done?
