I noticed today the following entries in my dmesg. #v+ Accounting enabled Accounting disabled Accounting enabled Accounting disabled Accounting enabled Accounting disabled Accounting enabled #v-
The uname -a follows. FreeBSD NAStie 9.0-BETA1 FreeBSD 9.0-BETA1 #0: Thu Jul 28 16:34:16 UTC 2011 r...@obrian.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 I tracked the actual messages down to /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_acct.c, but am not familiar enough with kernel internals to figure out why its happening. It *looks* like its happening every time I reboot the system (been playing around with the power). However, I want to be sure, and figured I'd check with the list. So - are these messages something to be concerned about? Or something to ignore? Or something to ignore in a BETA environment, and not in a production environment?
