Why do you need it at a fixed point? I think glabel should do the trick.

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked before. I'm booting a freebsd system from a USB stick. It is currently at da0 but if I add physical SATA drives, it moves to da2 and further depending on number of drives. How can I fix the usb disk to be at da32 or some finite number so that even if I add more devices, the boot device would still be at a finite location. Thanks. _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
