In general you should follow the advice given to you by the system (quoted above), instead of ignoring it and doing something else. However, in this case the problem is well-known. There is a bug in the mysql configure script that caused 5.1-CURRENT's libc to crash..this was fixed some time ago, so update your system. Kris
