-------- Dear experts,
I'm using FreeBSD-4.9 RELEASE on two different machines. One with an NEC 100MB ATAPI Zip drive and another with an 250MB USB Zip drive. The 100MB medium can't be exchanged between the two drives when it is labled and ufs formatted. The partition and label in the 250 MB USB Zip drive works well, but can only be udes as /dev/afd0a on the ATAPI drive. Partition and newfs on the ATAPI drive only works, when I cut off 32 sectors of the partition a. Otherwise I get 96904 : disklabel afd0 # /dev/afd0c: type: ESDI disk: afd0s1 label: flags: bytes/sector: 512 sectors/track: 32 tracks/cylinder: 64 sectors/cylinder: 2048 cylinders: 95 sectors/unit: 196576 rpm: 3600 interleave: 1 trackskew: 0 cylinderskew: 0 headswitch: 0 # milliseconds track-to-track seek: 0 # milliseconds drivedata: 0 8 partitions: # size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg] c: 196576 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 95*) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ 96905 : newfs /dev/afd0c Warning: Block size restricts cylinders per group to 97. Who can help?
