sure, just use "mount /mount/point" If the fstab works now, you won't need to do anything else. There may be more sophisticated ways (automounters and such that mount the filesystem as you traverse into it) but I've never used them.

Amd is a daemon that automatically mounts filesystems whenever a file or
directory within that filesystem is accessed. Filesystems are automati-
cally unmounted when they appear to be quiescent.
