The following script works for me:

#!/usr/local/bin/bash

NTAPE="/dev/nrsa0"
TAPE="/dev/rsa0"
MT="/usr/bin/mt"
DUMP="/sbin/dump"
CAMCONTROL="/sbin/camcontrol"

FILESYSTEMS="/ /var /backup"

echo "Rewinding the tape"
$MT -f $TAPE rewind

echo "Starting the backup"

for fs in $FILESYSTEMS
do
 $DUMP -0au -f $NTAPE $fs
done

echo "Rewinding the tape"

$MT -f $TAPE rewind

echo "Ejecting the tape"

$CAMCONTROL eject sa0
