I have no experience with either of these, but there is an Open Source "mono" (/usr/ports/lang/mono) http://www.go-mono.com and the MS implementation is Shared Source "sscli" (/usr/ports/lang/cli) http://msdn.microsoft.com/net/sscli/ If you use either of these I would be quite interested in what you think.
