What is the correct way of starting kdm at boot? I have tried echo "/usr/local/bin/kdm >> /etc/rc.local" , but this causes the system to hang. kdm works fine if executed on a root shell. Someone told me to do a wait 5 && kdm, but i see this as a bodge.
