Problem Solved...! After installing 2.2.10 I realized that I had not configured the file "ldap.conf" which I believe would affect the ability of "ldapadd" to function properly. In any case things seem to be working now so I can move on to trying to understand Schema's. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone to listen! Ben
