Does anyone have any suggestions, or is using CPAN the only way to get Perl modules installed?
Matthew Seaman has already addressed your question - I will just add that you might want to mention which modules you need that aren't in ports, so that possibly some kind soul might get around to porting them (or you could even become inspired to add them yourself).
