Make sure you have an up to date and complete copy of the FreeBSD sources before you start -- or that you are in the correct directory when you type 'make buildworld'. The best way to get hold of the FreeBSD sources is via cvsup(1). You can install cvsup simply by: # pkg_add -r cvsup-without-gui Detailed instructions on getting the sources may be found here: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/cvsup.html And make sure you: # cd /usr/src before you start running make(1).
