Installing the php4-mysql module is the correct first step. The question is why that new module isn't being loaded as part of mod_php4? Eliminating the obvious: did you kill and restart apache /after/ installing php4-mysql? If that doesn't work, then what is the value of the 'extension_dir' property in /usr/local/etc/php.ini ? By default it should be commented out: ; Directory in which the loadable extensions (modules) reside. ; extension_dir = "./" Cheers, Matthew -- Dr Matthew J Seaman MA, D.Phil. 26 The Paddocks Savill Way PGP: http://www.infracaninophile.co.uk/pgpkey Marlow Tel: +44 1628 476614 Bucks., SL7 1TH UK
