Linux users have a tool, hdparm, that lets them adjust all sorts of drive characteristics (read look-ahead, 32-bit I/O, multi-sector I/O, and so on) beyond the normal things seen in the hw.ata tree. Is there an equivalent for FreeBSD? -- Kirk Strauser
