why would you want to mp3s with xine ? mplayer is imho the better video-player for playing (streaming) mp3 and ogg anyway

i suggest you install also mplayer, mpg321 and beep-media-player for both mp3, ogg and mpeg, avi, wmv and mov files (i like choice ;^)
