i plan to begin use freeBSD in my home computer, i'd like to ask You: does my laptop HP nc9020 is compatiable with freeBSD? what is extra points of configuring Xorg server and compiling kernel?
I don't know this laptop, but you may try the following:
Download the FreeSBIE CD, burn it and try to boot it with your laptop. If it succeeds, FreeBSD will run on your machine.
