Does it compile WITH_PERL="NO" ? what version of autoconf and libtool are you using? and perl -v returns what version? what happens after running ldconfig -R

portupgrading net-snmp-5.2.1 doesn't seem to work on my machine:

** Fix the problem and try again.
I am running FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE-p5 #7. Anybody any idea what can be wrong and what can be done about it?
