Hi
I have exactly the same problem with Compaq Proliant ML370 (2 x PIII
1000MHz)
Updated to RELENG_6_0 from RELENG_5_4. It's freeze at boot with ACPI
enabled.
I also try 6.0 install CD with the same result.
If somebody need dmesg (both 5.4 and 6.0) feel free contact me.

sorry, i missed the important thing, here it is:
i made a couple of info under 5.4-release:
http://green.field.hu/dmesg54.txt
http://green.field.hu/conf54.txt
http://green.field.hu/mptable54.txt
as the dmesg shows the cpus are recognized by acpi!
so, that's my problem! 6.0 not working with acpi!
please help me to fix this acpi issue under 6.0..
thx guys!

i tested on 5.4-rel , acpi works, smp works!
on 6.0 acpi not booting, boot without acpi, no
smp...see only 1 cpu....
any idea?
wanna use 6.0, but can't because of this....

without acpi

Not a known problem. Does the machine work ok with 5.4 with
ACPI enabled
and
does it work fine on 6.0 with ACPI disabled?
Ok, can you provide a verbose dmesg from both 5.4 and 6.0 with
ACPI enabled in
both cases?
