I have exactly the same behaviour on my Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 with 3 Samsung HD103UJ HDDs and a Pioneer DVR-215 DVD-RW. I'm running 8.0-STABLE/amd64 from the end of November. It looks like it might be a bug in the IXP600 SATA driver. -- Peter Jeremy
