Just to reiterate - those are the specs of the PCI card that doesn't
work. The PCI card doesn't come up with MSIX failures. The onboard
has the MSIX failures but continues to work as you say.
These are the comparative specs for the onboard:
kernel: em0: <Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection 7.0.5> port 0x3040-0x305f
mem 0xe3200000-0xe321ffff,0xe3220000-0xe3220fff irq 10 at device 25.0 on pci0
kernel: em0: Setup MSIX failure
kernel: em0: [FILTER]
kernel: em0: Ethernet address: 00:27:0e:1e:5e:e3
$ ifconfig em0
em0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
options=219b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,TSO4,WOL_MAGIC>
ether 00:27:0e:1e:5e:e3
inet XXXXXXXX
media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>)
status: active
pciconf -lv:
e...@pci0:0:25:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x10f08086
rev=0x05 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Intel Corporation'
class = network
subclass = ethernet
