If you upgrade something that requires a newer gettext, you must either upgrade everything else that uses gettext or remove the things that can only use the old one. This same pain is visible in other package systems --- for example, ask someone on debian unstable (or, occasionally, testing) who tries to install/upgrade something and watches it ask to remove their entire system because it was built against a newer libc. If you use packages, you need to upgrade the entire package set as a unit, not piecemeal. -- brandon s allbery kf8nh sine nomine associates [email protected] [email protected] unix, openafs, kerberos, infrastructure, xmonad http://sinenomine.net _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-stable To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]"
