What is with the horrible console fonts in 11.0 stable? I have tried them all and they are each more hiddeous than the other.

Is there anyway to get the VGA fonts back. I never want any characters outside of Latin I.

Text programs are the only reason I use FreeBSD (it sure is not for the pathetic X.org). How can anyone work with the horrible text fonts which I suspect are some horrible raster fonts which reset video every time I switch virtual terms?

From 'man vt':

     hw.vga.textmode
Set to 1 to use virtual terminals in text mode instead of
graphics mode. Features that require graphics mode, like
             loadable fonts, will be disabled.

You can set this in /boot/loader.conf.

Ronald.
