Okay, I'm trying the "make update" in /usr/src, after having
gotten the internal drive plugged back into the on-board AIC-7890
controller. However, "make update" dies:

I'm hoping that this is just the ports stuff, and that I don't
really have to worry about it. I'm going to give it a try, just in
case.
