After hundreds of smooth builds, I DID think the sources were
broken *sigh* -- I feel a #!�^�%"�~ [stdout severely censored].

I wish to thank the whole -STABLE list very much both for providing
the answer to my infinitely dumb question and, in particular, for
not flaming me as I would have fully deserved.
