Hi, since some days all -stable snapshots at ftp://stable.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/i386/
are broken. Most files are empty ;-{
E.g. try
ftp://stable.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/i386/4.4-20011118-STABLE/
