As decided by the RE team, I'm going to commit the PAE backport to 4-stable this Friday. This includes the VM infrastruture related portion of the patch set I posted earlier (http://people.freebsd.org/~luoqi/pae-4/diff.pae). Some device drivers will also be updated in the coming weeks to allow them to work with the PAE enabled.
