portsdb -Uu is the command.

You have a few files involved:

/var/db/pkg/pkgdb.db
/usr/ports/INDEX
/usr/ports/INDEX.db

Don't really know which is which.....

Hi Brian,

Just add:

ENV['PORTS_DBDRIVER'] = 'bdb1_hash'

to your /usr/local/etc/pkgtools.conf.

Ran into that yesterday and came across a page on the web that helped
me.

This probably causes the db files to get regenerated -- the segfault comes
because the file is corrupted. I don't remember the command to force a
rebuild and also don't rememeber where the db files are stored :)
