I've tested your patches using same config file as before, and it seems work fine except on resume.
Hmm, thats one corner I cant test, suspend/resume dies horribly in ACPI on all 3 notebooks I have since september last year or thereabouts...
After suspend, my ThinkPad X40 now hangs with following logs (copied by hand):
Hmm, do you have ATA compiled in or as modules. I could easily imagine that modules could have problems, but as "built in" nothing really changed...
