Anyone care to comment on Areca's ARC-11xx PCI-X cards? I'm thinking about getting an 1130 (12-port version). *Is the arcmsr driver in FreeBSD stable? *Any issues with arrays larger then 2TB? *Rebuild times? *Command Line management software? *Is the company BSD friendly, no binary blob object in the driver? *Competent tech support? *What does the ethernet port on the ARC-1130 do? I'm primarily interested in this card because it can do RAID level 6 and based on the benchmarks I've seen it's a top performer. Anyhow, to the OP, stay way from promise cards. -- BSD Podcasts @ http://bsdtalk.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-stable To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
