I never tried this, and I'm not sure if this fixes anything or
not. What did it do for you?
Try disabling just the ACPI timer. At boot, break to the loader
prompt and enter
debug.acpi.disabled=timer
boot
then see if it works. I have one machine for which I must do this on
FreeBSD >= 6.0, and others have reported this as well.
