I'm not sure if it's related, but I lately see this behaviour on NFS mounts if the server is not responding. Doing cd /mnt/mydeadnfsmount/[tab for autocompletion] is enough to render the current console unresponsive. Fabian -- http://www.fabiankeil.de/
