Try adding
debug.mpsafenet=0
to your /boot/loader.conf
and see if that resolves your problem. We experienced the same on a number
of boxes which somehow seemes related to the locking mechanism used in the
networking stack. The Dell's (1750, 1850/2850) don't like it.
Could be that you're experiencing the same.
Searching back through the archives and PR database, I don't see a lot of
detailed debugging information on this. Were you able to get into DDB on a
serial console using serial break when one of these hangs occurs? (i.e.,
options KDB + options DDB + options BREAK_TO_DEBUGGER + console=comconsole)

Hi,
I am running 6.1 stable, AMD64 on Dell 2850, Intel Xeon. It keeps hanging
for no reason, no panic message or core and I have to reboot the system
whenever it freezes.
Any idea where to check?
Denny
