Ignore part of what I said. I am getting the same errors on re0. All I have to do to force the error is ftp a GB or 2 to the destination machine using 1000baseT NICs. My host machine is XP and I use the destination machine as a backup for photos and mp3 files. A photo session is usually on the order of 1-2 GBs.
