Thanks in advance. hmm these linuxisms do get a bit tiring dont they? i did a very quick search through print/cups-base , and i found no reference to lsusb. backend/usb-unix.c. is of relevance, methinks it seems to need /dev/ulpt ... do you ulpt.ko loaded? and the printer detectd ?
