You define the link between the switch and FreeBSD as a VLAN trunk within the switch. Within FreeBSD, you use "ifconfig vlanXXX inet ... vlan TAG vlandev NIC" (where XXX is a unique number - I tend to use the tag) to access the VLAN with a tag "TAG" on the trunk connected to "NIC". -- Peter Jeremy
