 Since /usr/src/sys/dev/usb/ums.c rev 1.96.2.1 worked for you, I guess
 this might be caused by rev 1.97 which removed "TWHEEL" stuff.
 
 Could you please try the patch below and see if it also fix the
 problem?
 (Patch should apply to latest -STABLE or -CURRENT)
