So, is it actually possibe to run Linux VMs today, given the userland tools in -CURRENT?
Not quite - I have yet to commit the AHCI emulation that came out of this year's GSoC project to allow an install from ISO. Also, bhyveload isn't used for Linux - I have a modified version of grub2's grub-emu target. I'm putting together a port for that.
