I've just committed an update to the emulators/open-vm-tools port which updates it to the 9.2.3 release of open-vm-tools and fixes the build on FreeBSD 11-CURRENT. I'm still having trouble with the 9.4.0 release of open-vm-tools, but this at least gets us closer to the latest and greatest. Please let me know if you find any issues with it.
