Hi,

Under the documentation [1] there are pointers about how one would define an
interface for all domUs.
Now the documentation says:

# sysrc cloned_interfaces="bridge0"
# sysrc ifconfig_bridge0="addm em0 SYNCDHCP"
# sysrc ifconfig_em0=“up”

where em0 is the main interface.

Now I have server which has a functional em1 interface running and configured.
I want to define a bridge0 interface for all domains, but not to use DHCP,
because I dont have a DHCP server on that network.

Any ideas how shall I configure the bridge0 interface using
ifconfig_bridge0=“..."

Just remove SYNCDHCP

For example:

cloned_interfaces="bridge0 tap0"
ifconfig_bridge0="addm bge0 up addm tap0 up"

It will create bridge0 with bge0 and tap0 as a members.

bridge0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
        ether 02:71:2c:00:ca:00
        nd6 options=9<PERFORMNUD,IFDISABLED>
        groups: bridge
        id 00:00:00:00:00:00 priority 32768 hellotime 2 fwddelay 15
        maxage 20 holdcnt 6 proto rstp maxaddr 2000 timeout 1200
        root id 00:00:00:00:00:00 priority 32768 ifcost 0 port 0
        member: tap0 flags=143<LEARNING,DISCOVER,AUTOEDGE,AUTOPTP>
                ifmaxaddr 0 port 5 priority 128 path cost 2000000
        member: bge0 flags=143<LEARNING,DISCOVER,AUTOEDGE,AUTOPTP>
                ifmaxaddr 0 port 1 priority 128 path cost 55

Kind regards
