Luis, confere o php.ini, se for o caso copia o php.ini-recommended padrão em cima do seu e veja se resolve.
Se resolver, analisa a diferença entre os 2, normalmente quando eu atualizo o php e removo o php.ini dá isto, mas movendo resolve.
