Добрый день сообществу!

Подскажите, может, кто сталкивался - второй день бьюсь: не выходит каменный
цветок... :(

В общем, попросил меня на днях о помощи товарищ, которого я подсадил
некогда на фрю. Сейчас он производит модернизацию оборудования и не может
настроить на новом сервере выход в интернет. Фря 8.4, mpd Version 5.7.
Провайдер - Укртелеком, aDSL, модем - Callisto 821, серенький, старый в
позе бриджа. Конфиги взяты со старого сервера, с нубука с виндой соединение
устанавливается нормально, а со старого сервера - тоже, а новый сервер - не
вяжется ни через mpd, ни, даже, через ppp. Товарищ в другом городе,
приехать на место, посмотреть глазами возможности пока нет.

PS: О! в процессе написания вдруг выяснилось, что новая железка выделена
неплохая и товарищ решил сэкономить ресурсов - на железку вначале поставил
VMWare ESXi 5.1 и фря здесь - в гостях. Где-то я вскользь читал, что
последние сервера-эмуляторы от вмвари эмулируют внутри себя свитч, в
который воткнуты все виртуалки. Может, в этом дело? Беглый поиск по гуглу
ничего пока не показал. Обычно же свитчи для pppoe не помеха...
