I guess that it has. Time flies!

It is becoming increasingly difficult to them apart.
In my book, PR for HyperCard is PR for FreeCard, and
vice-versa. :)

Expect the Pantechnicon to become my greatest
achievement so far, if it isn't already. As you know,
it is essentially the resurrection of the UFP. It's a
collaboration that is within my range of expertise,
unlike FreeCard. And the Pantechnicon seems to have
picked the curiosity of a critical-mass of interested
HC fans, more than the UFP or FC combined. Serge
Grenier summed it up rather elegantly recently when he
wrote to me: "...third time charmed...".

Expect my FreeGUI in the coming week. Then a
resumption in earnest on the Pantechnicon, which I
have been sort of "neglecting" because of the GUI. The
focus will now be on the HyperCard-native FreeGUI, of
course, which will undoubtedly boost our Pan
attendance to an all-time high and, not so indirectly,
will also boost FreeCard's profile. :)

And, finally, I am focusing on the Pantechnicon for my
doctoral research in Cognitive Computing. Model the
group dynamics of the Pan's participants. Smart (AI)
agents to facilitate collaborative
software-development, consensus-based decision-making
... You know the rest! ;-)

Thank you, Adrian.

Isn't it though! ;-)

That's understandable. We have all been guilty of that
at one time or another. My solution was to merge my
hobby-like interests with my professional activities,
into a seamless whole. :)

It was being developed solely for MetaCard, at first,
but I strategically chose to prototype FreeGUI with
HyperCard because, despite HyperCard's limitations and
slowness, HC is familiar and accessible to far more
people than MetaCard is.

The MC version will be released shortly afterwards,
once I have ported the HC version to MetaCard. After
that, I am not sure what will happen yet.

I am becoming increasingly pleased-with and proud-of
my work on FreeGUI. It looks and feels like our good
ol' HyperCard, albeit a little bit slower. The nearly
completed scripting contains some really neat
"tricks", including some scripts that write scripts
that write scripts, liberal use of the infamous "do"
command, etc.

FreeGUI's engin (scripts) is contained in two stacks
that your start/stop using, so switching between
FreeGUI and HyperCard's native GUI is a functionKey
away. The editable stack-based dialogs that HC-fans
will download contain almost no code at all.

Thank you for your prompt replies, Adrian and Uli.

I know what that is like. And it is not unlikely that
this will happen to me, e.g. when the contracts
pour-in and/or my doctoral studies pick up steam. Both
of these time-consuming possibilities are not
unrelated to what I am doing for us, though, so
nothing is lost.

Here in Quebec (Canada), summer has just ended. Autumn
has settled in. Temperatures have dropped
significantly. You aussies have got things
upside-down! Or maybe we do. Everything is relative,
eh! ;-)
