Do-able. :)

This kind of functionality is already provided by the
networking stuff: FileSharing, ProgramLinking, etc.

I see what you are getting at now. You are suggesting
that the stack be protected, as in the "protect stack"
dialog/menuItem. That's OK for your little brother, or
other computer newbies, but that form of protection is
very easy to bypass. There are even stacks and
externals that do precisely that.

Revisionist History! The userLevel of HyperCard was
designed and released YEARS before Intranets and such
became popular.

And a good idea it is! :)

Aha! So you chose to work on the icons after all!

> Where should I upload to?

You are addressing yourself to the FreeCard-list, so I
am not in a position to tell you the where and how of
uploading to the FreeCard space on SourceForge,
because I am not familiar with the process myself.
It's probably not very complicated, but it does
involve UNIX and CVS if I understood correctly.

You might want to consider contributing your icons to
the FreeGUI group and/or the Pantechnicon, as well as
the FreeCard group. Yes, these are three (3) distinct
groups, albeit quite inter-related. FreeGUI will
likely merge with FreeCard, eventually, but for now
they are distinct. Their licencing is different too:
FreeCard is licenced under FreeCard-GPL, while FreeGUI
is licenced as Public Domain.
