You'll probably want to find an introductory unix tutorial on the web 
somewhere.  Maybe someone else can produce a good reference.

bison, flex & yacc are in the normal place - /usr/bin/ for the unix 
uninitiated.  You use the terminal program to invoke these commands.  
You can find Terminal in /Applications/Utilities/ .
